On the shoreline of Forio, on the south-west side, at the foot of the village called Panza, there is the thermal source of Sorgeto whose hot water gets to the sea creating bubbles easily visible among the rocks. The source of Nitrodi is famous for the special healing qualities of its waters. In fact, many are the tourists that every year return to Ischia only to undergo a course of treatment in this place.
The source is located in the town of Barano d'Ischia, at Buonopane. It is easly reachable by car or bus. If you go there by car, you will be able to find parking in the little square by the source and then walk down throug a series of steps.
Nitrodi waters, can be classified among the oligominerals and medio-mineral and its key components are: calcium, carbon, chlorine, potassium, sodium and sulfur. The beneficial properties of this water are numerous:
